Wedding Photography for Real Couples

Almost every couple says to me, “We’re kind of awkward in front of the camera. Can you help us with that?” Absolutely! I work with real couples, not models. That means every portrait you see here is someone I helped direct and pose, and I can do the same for you too. And guess what? We’ll have fun with it too. No need for additional stress on your wedding day!

While taking portraits I provide plenty of directions and guidance for genuine smiles and natural poses. No need to wonder where you’ll put your hands! As for the rest of the day, I’ll be hanging around watching your day unfold with camera in-hand, giving you space to truly enjoy your day with your loved ones rather than staging your moments. Here’s what this means:

  • I won’t ask for five re-dos of putting your shoes on
  • I may suggest a place with better lighting or background for major moments
  • I won’t ask you to re-do your reactions
  • I will help you with your portraits

Posing where you need it, candids where you don't.

My approach

how to get on the books

01. Inquire

The first step is to fill out my contact form, which you can find at the top right hand corner of the page. Just tell me your name and wedding date, and I'll get back to you with my availability and basic investment information within twenty-four hours.

02. Let’s Meet

I want to get to know you and your story, so before you even book, I'd love to grab a coffee, my treat. If you're not local, or just prefer to video chat, that's perfectly fine too. During this meeting we'll also craft your custom wedding collection so that you have exactly what you want, nothing that you don't.

03. Make it Official

If we're a good fit, I'll send you a contract and invoice which you can fill out online for your convenience. Once you make your deposit, you will be officially booked! You can then smile and feel the sweet satisfaction of crossing another wedding vendor off your list.

Megan was a delight to have at our wedding! Honestly, we adore her. She took such a wonderful range of classic & creative pictures, made sure everyone was photographed well, and took amazing candids. She is so talented and also just wonderful, you will not regret hiring her!

Frequently Asked Questions

Absolutely! While I am based out of Raleigh, NC, I love exploring new places. I'm happy to travel across the state or even the country for your wedding or engagement. Some locations I have traveled for shoots include Shenandoah National Park, the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, and Miami.

Travel fees may apply for locations more than two hours outside of Raleigh.

Do you travel?

FAQ no. 1

I know you're going to be excited to see your images, and I can't wait to show you! For that reason, I always send sneak peek images within a day or two of the wedding. You'll receive your full wedding gallery within four to five weeks. Engagement sessions are turned around in two to three weeks.

When will I receive my images?

FAQ no. 2

Every wedding is different, but generally I send 500-1000 fully edited images for about a full wedding day. (Or about 75-100 images per hour.) I do the job of sorting through to find the best images for you, avoiding duplicates and less desirable images so that you don’t have to do that tough work yourself.

How many images will I receive?

FAQ no. 3

Yes, I do require a deposit as this allows me to secure your wedding date just for you! To be considered officially booked I ask for a $1,000 deposit.

Do you require a deposit?

FAQ no. 4

Booking is simple: just fill out my inquiry form on my contact page, and I will reply within 24 hours. I'll send you some basic investment information. From there we'll schedule a full consultation. Once you're ready, just place a deposit and you'll be on the books!

How do I book you?

FAQ no. 5

Every wedding includes fully edited digital images. When I deliver the images, there is an option to order prints directly from a professional print lab, which ensures you have the highest quality; however the prints are an additional cost.  You may take the digital files to be printed elsewhere, but the quality will likely be lower than the professional print lab.

I also offer professional print albums which I hand-design and highly recommend. In my opinion, this is the best way to enjoy your photos!

Are prints included?
