A Fall Wedding at Daniel’s Ridge Wedding Venue
In October of this year Brittany and Bryson got married at Daniel’s Ridge wedding venue, just outside of Sanford, NC. It was such an honor to photograph their wedding! Some of the most special aspects of their day included the gorgeous new open-air chapel, the colorful fall florals (each bridesmaid had their own unique bouquet!), and having their wedding day planned by Brittany’s own aunt and her team, Daisies n’ Such. I’m so excited to share their day with you here!
Brittany and Bryson’s Story
Before diving into details of their wedding day at Daniel’s Ridge, I want to share about Brittany and Bryson’s story. The pair met at a wedding in March of 2020 and immediately hit it off, but nothing immediately came of it. They were both busy in their studies (and we all know how difficult it was to meet up back in 2020!) They kept in touch at a distance over social media, but that was it.
Fast forward to fall of 2022, and the two reconnected at church. They were hesitant to start dating (as Brittany puts it, she was stubborn and he was shy), but thankfully they decided to move forward with a first date. You can see how it went from there! After a year of dating, Bryson proposed to Brittany at her late father’s favorite Christmas tree in Colonial Williamsburg. From there it was time to start wedding planning!
The Chapel at Daniel’s Ridge
I first met Brittany over coffee for a wedding photography consultation. At that meeting, she told me one of Daniel’s Ridge’s features that she was most excited about was the new open-air chapel. At that point the chapel was still under construction, but it would be done before their October wedding! I have to agree–the chapel is one of my favorite features of the venue! Its cathedral style windows have an elegant charm. They elevate the venue, making it stand out from many rustic or country venues nearby. Plus, the white walls and abundant natural light are a photographer’s dream!
Colorful Fall Florals
Brittany chose an array of colorful florals for her wedding. The colors included magenta, yellow, orange, purple, and pink! They popped so well against the white walls of Daniel’s Ridge and the black bridesmaid dresses. One fun fact about the bouquets: each bridesmaid had her own! Every bouquet was chosen for a special meaning. For example, one bridesmaid had colors that matched her own wedding. What a sweet touch!
A Family Affair
The florals and the planning were both done by Daisies N Such, run by her aunt, Cynthia (aka Aunt Cindy). Cynthia runs Daisies n’ Such with her business partner Edwina. When your aunt is in charge of both planning and florals for your wedding, you know you’re going to get something special! Edwina handled much of the coordination of the event so that Cynthia could enjoy being present on the day. They handled every moment of the day beautifully! I definitely recommend them for anyone getting married in the Sanford area.
Fall weddings are always so beautiful! I hope you enjoy looking through some of my favorite images today!
Kind Words from Brittany & Bryson
Megan is so wonderful behind and outside the camera! She worked with me from day one and I couldn’t have asked for a better photographer! Megan was the first wedding photographer I spoke to and I knew I wanted to book with her. She is so talented and easy to work with! My wedding photos turned out so beautiful and it’s all because of Megan! I cannot wait to use her in the future for family photos!
