Event spaces at the Upchurch

The Upchurch is an elegant wedding venue in Cary, NC just a 20 minute drive from Raleigh. The venue is comprised of the Upchurch-Williams historical home from 1905, as well as the Conservatory, a new 4,200 square foot indoor event space. Between the two buildings sits the Magnolia Lawn, a 2,000 square foot circular lawn perfect for ceremonies, cocktail hours, and portraits.

The Main House hosts two dressing suites so that the entire wedding party can get ready on site. The large porch, outdoor patio, and views of the lawn make it a peaceful spot for getting ready, and beautiful for first looks and portraits later on in the day.

The Magnolia Lawn is gorgeous for outdoor ceremonies and cocktail hours, and the Conservatory is perfect for indoor ceremonies and receptions, seating up to 225 guests. Three walls of windows and high ceilings with wooden beams make it a beautiful space to celebrate your wedding.

Cost and Rental Details

According to their website at the time of this article (January 2024), weekend rentals range from $6000-$9000 with a weekday rate of $600 per hour (5 hour minimum). Rental includes full use of the Main House, the Conservatory, and the lawn. Tables and chairs are included, as well as a venue host. The Upchurch partners with Rocky Top Catering and requires use of them for your catering needs.
