Top Industrial Wedding Venues near Raleigh, NC
The Raleigh-Durham area has a rich history in textile and tobacco mills, but these mills are no longer needed for their original purposes. Instead of tearing them all down, there is a cool trend of turning them into wedding venues! These industrial venues are scattered all across Raleigh and the surrounding cities, and they are my favorite type of venue to shoot at! Here are some of my favorites that I’ve worked in recent years:
The Stockroom at 230 – Raleigh
The Stockroom at 230 is in the heart of downtown Raleigh along Fayetteville Street. There is a great getting ready space above the venue called the Glass Box, with gorgeous natural light for getting ready photos, plus an outdoor balcony that is popular for first looks! Couples who book the Stockroom at 230 also love their chalk wall, market lights, lattice ceiling (perfect for hanging greenery), and cozy brick tones.
The Cotton Room – Durham
The Cotton Room is a great option for larger weddings as it has a high seating capacity, yet it also feels intimate enough for smaller weddings as well. To make planning easier, they offer many services, such as catering and floral, alongside their packages. Their service is top-notch! The Cotton Room features beautiful separate getting ready rooms for both the bridal party and the groom and groomsmen as well as other rentable spaces for cocktail hour or wedding showers.
The Graham Mill – Graham
Hardly anything beats the natural light that pours into the Graham Mill on your wedding day! Beautiful windows and a garage door let light spill in from two sides while barn doors and long brick wall give plenty of photo options for portraits! The venue sneaks up on you as you drive through Graham (it’s easy to pass!) but when you walk inside, you know you’re going to have a good wedding day! The venue features two adjoining getting ready rooms that can be opened after the ceremony, or left closed if preferred. The Graham Mill is about an hour away from Raleigh and just over thirty minutes from Durham, but it is well worth the drive if you have some location flexibility!
