Wow I so genuinely enjoyed this wedding!! How do I best describe it? Joey and Yunjoo’s wedding at the Graham Mill was beautiful, love-filled, Christ-centered, and FUN! I mean I was literally laughing along with the guests during the groomsmen’s speeches. Later, I was nearly brought to tears when a bridesmaid sang the hymn “Be Thou My Vision” following the toasts!
This wedding was also filled with tons of personal touches from the bride and groom. In lieu of a traditional cocktail hour, they served boba tea from Boba Baba Cafe! For dessert, they had mochi donuts (also provided by the Boba Baba Cafe)! It is so much fun when couples aren’t afraid to throw in their personality.
The Graham Mill
I highly recommend hosting your wedding at the Graham Mill! From a photographer’s perspective, it was perfect. It has an abundance of natural light, trendy getting ready rooms, and a variety of photo-worthy backdrops. Some of these back drops include white barn doors, a garage door focal point, exposed brick walls, and a cute backyard. The venue can seat up to 200 guests, or 240 cocktail style. It is a 30-minute drive from Durham, or just under an hour from Raleigh. In my opinion, it is worth the drive!
If you are looking for a similar venue that is a bit closer to the Triangle, check out this wedding reception at the Cotton Room in Durham. The Cotton Room is a bit larger of a venue, but it has that same industrial feel!
Where to Stay
The Graham Mill is located in Graham, NC, which is right beside Burlington and Mebane. There are a variety of hotels nearby in the mid-range price point, including the Fairfield Inn and Suites and the Hampton Inn, or for a more luxury experience, drive 30 minutes from Durham where you could stay at the Washington Duke Inn or the Durham Hotel.
Amazing Vendor Team
I absolutely loved working with this sweet couple, and bonus–they had an awesome vendor team! Trent from Something Fabulous Weddings served as the day-of-coordinator, and he made the day run seamlessly. I highly recommend him if you’re still looking for a wedding planner coordinator! Catering was provided by Sassool, a Mediterranean restaurant with locations in Cary and North Raleigh. One great feature of Sassool is their abundance of dairy-free options for those with allergies or intolerances. The florals were actually provided by the bride’s mother herself! Typically, I would recommend hiring a professional florist, as I’ve seen DIYers arrive too late, but Yunjoo’s mother did an great job!
Man, I had a hard time narrowing down the photos from this wedding to share with you today. They were all just so beautiful! I hope you enjoy!
